Activities around Gaunshahar
Heaven Hill Homestay is located 1,400m above sea level in a small village called Gaunshahar situated in between Kathmandu and Pokhara . It is closely linked by the road from Besishahar (8 km) which is known by trekkers as the beginning point of the Annapurna Circuit Trail. During your stay here you will experience spectacular views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna, Fishtail, Manaslu, Peak 29 and Lamjung.
Trekking to the royal palace ruins
We will take you to the location of the royal palace located on a mountain near Gaushahar. You will see the ruins of the royal village build some 400 years ago losted throught the vegetation and trees. You will learn about this important period of Nepal history and all the legends related. In this trek we will reach a height point of 1900m with stunning views of the majestic himalayas.

A taste of the Annapurnas
This trek take you on the edge of the Annapurnas sanctuary throught the mountains surrounding Besishahar with breathtaking views. We will walk in the forest, on rice fields steps, and throught 5+ differents villages, where you can enjoy the kindness of the villagers and see a rare traditional Nepali round house. In this one day trek you will enjoy a traditional meal in one of the village, but we can also arrange a night there and do a 2 days trek.

Village Walk Tour
Discover Gaushahar with Shamser! You will have the unique chance to be introduced to the villagers, craftman, farmers and childs in his school. You will have a guided visit of the first Royal Palace of Lamjung (1663 AD), really famous in Nepal. Walking on picturesque old paved stone you will admire the medieval architecture of the villagers houses. You will also see waterfalls, huge bamboo trees and climb rice fields steps with scenic views.

Sleeping under the stars
This is a unique experience of sleeping outside in the mountain. We will build a wood shelter togheter from the forest wood, and we will cook nepali meal on the fire. At night you can enjoy a campire with traditional music and local wine. In the morning you can admire the sunrise throught the Annapurnas.
